What a cute little bus of happy, diverse children - what could be wrong with that? Who wouldn't want to welcome children?
In actuality, the program is dangerous indoctination of children under the guise of "inclusiveness"

What is it?
Welcoming Schools is an anti-bias-based-bullying program written by the Human Rights Campaign, one of the largest and most powerful LGBT lobbying organizations in the country, which recieves millions of dollars in funding from foundations. The concept is clear: reduce bullying of LGBT youth through normalization of LGBT lifestyles. The unstated goal of course is: Transform societal morals through normalization of LGBT lifestyles.
Why is it dangerous?
Going far beyond teaching children not be hateful or bully for ANY reason, this program aims to teach children that LGBT lifestyles are good, healthy, and are equal to male-female relationships. It teaches children that gender is subjective, meaning that people can identify as whatever gender they feel is right, and that this is a good thing! What they leave out is the truth of the matter. Science shows that the outcomes of LGBT lifestyles are poor, not only for the people partaking in those lifestyles, but for children brought up in those alternative family structures. Science shows us that our biology makes us either male or female, with the rare exception of intersex people, who have a medical disorder. History shows us that civilizations that partake in sexual decadence ultimately crumble. Once sex is divorced from procreation, the culture ultimately degrades, which we can clearly see the fruits of now. Culture shows us that the biological family unit is the core building block of a prosperous and flourishing society, and that undermining this undermines culture. Common sense tells us that biological reality determines whether we are male or female. Religion tells us that God designed us male and female, with the express purpose of futhering LIFE and His creation. All of these truths are rejected by Welcoming Schools and the opposite is taught to the children.
We do not need to teach children about LGBT lifestyles in order for them to know to treat ALL people with love and respect. Sometimes love is tough love - telling the truth people don't want to hear - but it is love nevertheless. What we need to teach our children is how to speak the truth in love, and that in order to love others, we cannot withhold the truth.
How does it work?
Welcoming Schools is a teacher training (professional development) program offered to Austin ISD elementary school teachers on a campus-by-campus basis. The teachers are trained on how to introduce topics of homosexuality and LGBT lifestyles into their lessons and curricula. It makes use of social conditioning to drive home the message. For example, in circle exercises, the students are asked to stand in groups according to their answers to particular questions. It will become evident if any student holds a minority view, leading to social discomfort.
Former AISD pre-K teacher Caryl Ayala speaks about her training under Welcoming Schools:
