Who are we?
We are parents, grandparents, educators, and community members who are against the radical sex ed and LGBT agenda being introduced to children as young as 4 through "anti-bullying," "relationship education" and school sex ed curricula. We believe that we, as parents, have the right to give our children the right message about sex. The message being taught in schools is setting up our children for disease, abuse, and negative life outcomes, and we will no longer sit silently by. By arming parents with facts and tools, we aim to ensure schools are a safe place for actual learning. Join us in protecting the children of Texas.
How did we start?
Our group started in April 2017, after our founder, Caryl Ayala, left her career as an Elementary School teacher in the Austin Independent School District. The previous year, she had received 'Welcoming Schools' training from the District, in which teachers were told how to introduce topics such as homosexuality and transgenderism to students. She knew that the mostly immigrant, Christian, working-class parents of her students had no idea that this agenda was being pushed on their children; she could not violate their trust or her own conscience. She thus decided to get the word out and joined with other concerned parents and grandparents to do so.
When researching what was happening in Austin ISD with Welcoming Schools, we discovered that the district was planning to completely revamp its sexual education curriculum for the 2017/18 school year - from simple puberty lessons in 5th grade to graphic sexual education starting in kindergarten up through 12th grade. AISD's plan was to create a curriculum based on the "3Rs" program by Advocates for Youth, a radical pro-abortion/pro-LGBT organization that recruits students to advocate for the sexual rights of young people. Starting in kindergarten, children were to be taught about diverse family structures (i.e. same-sex parenting). They would be asked to discuss their genitalia openly and in detail with their classmates and teachers. They would discuss 'good touch' and 'bad touch,' leading up to consent-giving in later years. Gender non-conformity and how to experiment with it and support it in others would also be introduced. This was in line with an agenda which believes that children should have as much information about sex as possible, as early as possible, because they are sexual from birth and have a right to experiment with sex whenever they decide they are ready. In this ideology, consent and protection are the two criteria for whether to have sex.
Because we exposed what the District was doing, AISD was forced to be more accountable to parents. After a petition was circulated that garnered more than 2,000 signatures, AISD ended up delaying its sex-ed rewrite for a couple years. Despite continuing widespread objections including thousands more signatures, countless calls and emails, and over 100 parents protesting at the October 2019 school board meeting, AISD’s comprehensive, inclusive sex ed curriculum for grades 3 through 8 was adopted with plans to be taught in the spring of 2020. Their plans were put on hold indefinitely because of COVID-19 which forced schools to go to virtual online zoom classes. While the District did post curriculum to their website, AISD does not want parents to be able to see and hear what their children are actually being told in real time or questions that are asked by teachers or other classmates. Austin ISD has continued to lack transparency and honesty in the process, as their agenda is to introduce comprehensive inclusive sex education in pre-k and kindergarten, no matter what. But at least more parents know now, and they can either decline to Opt-In, or as many are doing, transfer their children to charter, private, or homeschools.

Background
What is the sex ed/LGBT agenda?
The sex ed agenda that has entered our schools is based on falsehoods originally propounded by Alfred Kinsey in the '40s – including that every child has the 'right' to sexual pleasure with anyone he or she consents to have sex with. This ideology is not only an attack on children's innocence, but it grooms them for abuse and sets them up for a lifetime of psychological, health, and relational problems. More so, it is indoctrination of the children to support and become involved in lifestyles that run contrary to natural law and which are not conducive to human flourishing. After having overtaken nearly all of society, the sexual revolution is now entering our preschools and kindergartens.
When did this come into schools?
Per Texas education code, all public schools must teach abstinence as the core component of sex education. This was the case in Austin until around 2009, when Texas Freedom Network infiltrated the School Health Advisory Council to push the agenda of comprehensive sex education. The newer programs designed by Planned Parenthood and LGBT advocacy organizations teach children sexual experimentation, how to consent to sex (these videos were recommended to middle schoolers), alternative lifestyles, and gender ideology, following the National Sex Education Standards written by SIECUS.
How do I know if this is in my child's school?
You need to ask. We are attempting to compile a list of sex education curricula in school districts around Texas, but the parents are the first line in finding out what is in their children's schools. Help us by finding out what is happening in your district, so that we can compile that information and publish it on our website. That way, parents will have a resource to know what is being taught to their children. Planned Parenthood, Advocates for Youth and the like have an agenda - to get into each and every school district in Texas. Austin is a test case for how they can make that happen. It is up to parents to stop that from happening in their district.
Why should I care?
Medical and psychological experts agree: Early sex and sexual experimentation is dangerous and harmful to children. Sex ed based on risk-reduction (rather than avoidance) increases the risky behaviors it claims to prevent. Gender ideology is harmful to children, who are just developing their identities, as it separates them from biological reality. LGBTQ lifestyles have serious health implications. The results of all of the above include STDs, pregnancy (yes, even in gay-identified youth), abortion, susceptibility to trafficking and abuse, and severe mental health outcomes, including suicide. Comprehensive sexual education has clearly been ineffective, with 80% of the programs studied under the Obama-era Teen Pregnancy Prevention program having no or a negative effect despite hundreds of millions in taxpayer funding. Sexual risk avoidance (abstinence-focused) programs show promising results.
What can I do?
The time is now or never to take a stand. There are many things you can do to protect your children. Our parent action guide will guide you through key steps to take as a parent. Use this website to learn more about comprehensive sex ed, current research and how to convey a Biblical view of sexuality to children. Get involved at the personal, local, state, and national levels. Our community action resources will help you make an impact in your larger community.
Our message is this: Parents should be the ones to form their children's minds and hearts regarding sexuality. Going against this principle (and Texas age of consent laws), schools are encouraging children to experiment with risky sexual behaviors and to reject traditional moral values regarding sexuality and identity. Take control of the message and tell your school that you do NOT want this subject matter being taught. If parents and community members wake up and speak out, this can be stopped.
